Continuous improvement is important in every space and especially in edcuation. Often our improvement efforts end up looking like the target on the left, with arrows all over the place.
However, when we become problem focused and user specific, our improvement efforts look more like the target on the right.
Getting clear on the answers to these three questions from Bryk help us to focus our efforts:
1. What problem are we trying to solve?
2. What change might we introduce and why?
3. How will we know that a change is actually an improvement?
When we focus on those three questions we are drowning out all the noise from other competing priorities and getting crystal clear on what matters.
